Dir. Bartolo H. Monforte is an accomplished mining and industrial executive with extensive experience in mining operations, explosives technology, drilling systems, industrial equipment, and corporate management. He currently serves as Acting Member of the Board of Directors of the Philippine Mining Development Corporation following his appointment by the Office of the President in January 2026.

With several decades of leadership experience in the mining and industrial sectors, Dir. Monforte has held various executive and managerial positions in leading local and multinational companies engaged in explosives, mining equipment, drilling technologies, and construction support services. He presently serves as President of Consolidated Explosives Group Corporation and Explosives Consultation & Application Philippines Inc., where he oversees overall corporate operations and strategic management. He likewise previously served as President of Wakoh Asia Pacific, Inc., Vice President of Dyno Wesfarmers Philippines, and Marketing Manager of Nobel Philippines Inc.

A significant portion of his professional career was spent with Atlas Copco Philippines Inc., where he held progressively senior positions including Product Engineer, District Manager, Area Manager, Branch Manager, and Product Manager. In these roles, he managed mining and construction equipment operations, supervised regional sales and marketing activities, and provided technical advisory services involving underground and surface mining equipment, rock drilling systems, compressors, exploration equipment, and geophysical technologies.

Dir. Monforte completed his collegiate education at the Mapúa Institute of Technology and pursued graduate studies in Business Administration at Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan. Throughout his professional career, he has participated in numerous local and international seminars, workshops, and technical training programs involving mining systems, drilling technologies, supervisory management, construction equipment, and sustainable mining practices held in Australia, Sweden, Germany, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia.

Apart from his corporate and technical engagements, Dir. Monforte is actively involved in professional, civic, and business organizations. He has served as Director of the Mining Club, Director of the Alliance of Responsible Miners of Region 8 (ARMOR 8), and Director and 2nd Vice President of the Mandaluyong Chamber of Commerce. He is likewise affiliated with several civic and social organizations and is a Master Mason.
