Ramoncito “Chito” B. Cabalu was appointed as Acting Member of the Board of Directors of the Philippine Mining Development Corporation (PMDC) on 2 June 2026.

Mr. Cabalu is a seasoned business executive, entrepreneur, and corporate leader with more than 40 years of experience in business development, corporate governance, and strategic management. Throughout his career, he has been involved in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, trading, consulting, entertainment, and investment management.

He has served as a director and officer of several publicly listed and private companies, including Lodestar Investment Holdings Corporation, Asiabest Group International, Inc., and Geograce Resources Philippines, Inc. He also held leadership positions in both local and international organizations, including serving as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TAM Group AB in Sweden.

In addition to his corporate experience, Mr. Cabalu has founded and helped develop several business ventures in the Philippines and abroad. He currently serves Key Officer of Universal Fabric Structure Philippines.

Mr. Cabalu earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Social Sciences from the University of the Philippines in 1977. His extensive experience in business, governance, and entrepreneurship enables him to contribute valuable insights to the Board in advancing PMDC’s goals and objectives.
