ROY D. ANTONIO

Roy D. Antonio was appointed a Member of the Board of Directors of the Philippine Mining Development Corporation (PMDC) on March 6, 2026.

Mr. Antonio is currently an independent executive advisor with more
than four decades of leadership experience spanning the natural
resources sector, government, and national security. He holds a Master
in Management degree from the Asian Institute of Management and a
Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the United States
Coast Guard Academy. He took up the International Summer Course on
National Security in Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, Germany.

Prior to his appointment to the PMDC Board, Mr. Antonio held senior
executive leadership roles with Sagittarius Mines, Inc. in the long-term
development of the Tampakan Copper-Gold Project, one of the world’s
largest undeveloped copper-gold deposits. He helped guide the project
through exploration, feasibility, regulatory approvals, ESG positioning,
stakeholder governance, and construction readiness.

During his tenure, he held vice president-level responsibilities covering
Corporate Affairs, Government Relations, External Affairs &
Communications, Corporate Security, Community Relations, ESG, and
Business Continuity. He led national and Mindanao-wide stakeholder
engagements, secured critical approvals and permits, and advanced the Tampakan Project’s social license to operate through strategic
communications and responsible mining advocacies.

Before entering the private sector, Mr. Antonio served for 25 years in
the Armed Forces of the Philippines, retiring with the rank of Navy
Captain. His military and government service included senior
assignments in strategic intelligence, defense and military policy, and
naval operations.

He served concurrently as Technical Assistant to the Secretary of
National Defense in support of the National Unification Commission
and represented the Department of National Defense and the Armed
Forces of the Philippines in the Technical Committee of the
Government Panel engaged in peace negotiations with the National
Democratic Front. He was also detailed to the Office of the President as
principal intelligence and security advisor to the Executive Secretary,
where he was recognized by the President for performance during
several national crises.
