Atty. Marissa Marasigan Torentera serves as Legal Manager of the Philippine Mining Development Corporation (PMDC) since her appointment in September 2020. Prior to joining PMDC, she had established a strong background in public service through her work with the City Government of Davao beginning in 2012.

She earned her Juris Doctor degree from Ateneo de Davao University and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2007. After passing the Bar, she practiced law as an associate lawyer and was named partner in a law firm, where she gained extensive experience in legal practice, litigation, and legal management.

In addition to her role as Legal Manager, Atty. Torentera serves as the Chairperson of the Committee on Anti-Red Tape and the Committee on Decorum and Investigation, where she actively promotes transparency, accountability, ethical standards, and efficiency in public service. She likewise serves as the Lead of the Internal Quality Audit (IQA) Team in the pursuit and maintenance of ISO Quality Management System (QMS) Certification, further demonstrating her commitment to organizational excellence and quality assurance.

Apart from being a lawyer, she is also a registered real estate broker, reflecting her diverse professional expertise and qualifications.

With her combined experience in private legal practice, government service, corporate legal management, regulatory compliance, and institutional governance, Atty. Torentera continues to make meaningful contributions to public sector leadership and organizational development.
