Philippine Mining Development Corporation (PMDC) President and CEO Job Ambrosio recently paid a courtesy call on Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) Region VIII Regional Director Glenn Noble to discuss closer coordination on PMDC projects within the region.
PMDC has several mineral projects in Eastern Visayas, and the meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between PMDC and MGB Region VIII as PMDC moves to become more active in the management, development, and monitoring of its tenements.
During the meeting, PMDC assured Director Noble that it will maintain close coordination with MGB Region VIII on project requirements, regulatory compliance, and other matters necessary to support responsible and orderly mineral development.
The engagement reflects PMDC’s commitment to work closely with government partners to ensure that its projects are developed responsibly, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, and with due regard for the welfare of host communities and the broader national interest.
Through stronger coordination with MGB Region VIII, PMDC aims to help promote mining projects that create meaningful benefits for local communities while contributing to the country’s sustainable mineral development goals.
